NetExtender is an SSL VPN client for Windows, Mac, or Linux users that is downloaded transparently and that allows you to run any application securely on the company's network. SonicWALL's SSL VPN features provide secure remote access to the network using the NetExtender client. Port 443 can only be used if the management port of the firewall is not 443.Īlso asked, how does Sonicwall NetExtender work? It just works with no setting changes.NOTE: The SSLVPN port will be needed when connecting using Mobile Connect and NetExtender unless the port number is 443. Your solution sounds very complex, the solution given by LeroyG09 above of installing v10 of NetExtender worked perfectly for my issue (and is the right solution for mass deployment of NetExtender to users), no manual driver install or blocking updates, everything installs as per the defaults. It may well be the Intel RST driver causing the issue, or an incompatibility from NetExtender with that driver (hence why they updated it).

In my search for a solution i did see people reporting the issue you described, this was related to having the SATA in RAID mode and not AHCI mode (when they weren't using RAID). So if it was the Intel RST driver issue then it wouldn't have mattered when i installed NetExtender (which it didn't as i tried deploying it after and during enrollment to InTune, with the same result). If i installed the NetExtender MSI manually the issue didn't occur. The issue only occurred when i installed the MSI via InTune. Thanks for the input, i think you have a different issue. Maybe it saves some people some time and headache and save them from having to do a fresh install. So in my experience even though it was saying it was the Netexender driver that was causing the issue, It ended up being the Intel RST driver and how i was able to figure that out is because it would aways blue screen after updating that driver and then I would have to roll it back to get it to boot properly. Turned automatic updates back on and installed all available updates (it didn't reinstall the Intel RST driver because i had just updated that driver manually). I rebooted and everything booted up successfully.

Rolled back again to before the driver install and updated BIOS and all other drivers available for the system and lastly installing the Intel RST driver. I was able to roll back the driver to before the update and turn auto updating off and I manually updated the driver from the Dell support page and after rebooting it blue screened.

It blue screened after windows automatically installed an updated driver for the Intel RST driver from windows update. I actually just came upon this issue a couple of days ago and even though it says the sfpmonitor.sys is the fault for the blue screen, its actually an intel RST driver update that caused the issue on mine.
